What is a Job Site Analysis?
Key Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Centre’s job site analysis is performed at a work site, and involves a thorough examination of several aspects in a work environment. This analysis can be used by employers to determine if an employee is ready to return to work after sustaining an injury, or if job modifications are needed.Below is a list of examinations and assessments that may be performed.
- Physical demands of a job: It’s important to know what physical demands are necessary for a job to be performed successfully. If an employee over exerts themselves doing a task, or is not strong enough to lift specific objects, they could potentially injure themselves. A thorough assessment of physical demands
- Safety of the work environment: An examination of safety risks or possible threats that could result in someone sustaining an injury or having a lower performance level. Factors that may be taken into consideration are noise and light levels, as well as temperature levels.
- Common worker habits: Certain habits may pose a higher risk of injury.
- Ergonomic assessment: This assessment allows for the proper examination of equipment and tools being used on site. For example, an employee with a sedentary job may run the risk of developing back pain or neck pain if they are not provided with ergonomically designed office equipment to help support their body.
